Exploring Emotion through Vocal Timbres

Join Nicholas for an in-depth exploration of vocal timbres and emotions, focusing on the principles of Laban’s eight efforts, vocal tract configurations, and Plutchik’s wheel of emotions. In this course, participants will explore how movement and vocal anatomy influence vocal expression, and how different emotional states affect vocal tone. The session offers practical techniques to help singers align their vocal abilities with emotional intentions, enriching both interpretation and performance. Suitable for soloists and choral singers alike, this course provides a clear, accessible approach to integrating emotion, physicality, and voice in musical performance.
